James W. Buche
James W. Buche is an attorney
licensed to practice in the States of California and Texas. Mr. Buche's
practice is focused on the needs of small to medium sized businesses.
Mr. Buche provides his clients with comprehensive legal service covering
all aspects of business.
Prior to
founding a practice in San Diego, California, Mr. Buche worked as an
assistant county attorney in Nueces County, Texas, where he represented
the county, its elected public officials and employees in a wide range
of litigation and other matters.
Mr. Buche is experienced in
administrative and transactional matters, having represented
administrative bodies such as the Nueces County Park Board and the
Nueces County Bail Bond Board. Mr. Buche is well versed with the
requirements of occupational licensing, has negotiated land and business
contracts, and is experienced in commercial landlord-tenant disputes
involving food service and hospitality businesses. Mr. Buche has tried
cases involving employment, licensing and other issues at the trial and
appellate court levels. Mr. Buche also has experience in personal
injury, real estate and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Buche is admitted to practice in all courts in the States
of California and Texas, the District Courts for the Southern, Eastern
and Northern Districts of Texas, and the District Court for the Southern
District of California. Mr. Buche earned his law degree from Texas Tech
University in Lubbock, Texas. During law school, he interned with the
United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas and
with the U.S. Magistrate Court. He also clerked for a prominent
Plaintiff's firm. Mr. Buche earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in
English from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Mr. Buche is a member of the San Diego County Bar
Association, San Diego Young Lawyers Association, Texas Young Lawyers
Association, Surfrider Foundation, American Culinary Federation and the National and
California Restaurant Associations. He is also a proud graduate of the
San Diego Culinary Institute. Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Buche
enjoys surfing, cooking, travel, fishing and snow skiing.
